"Migration" This piece was inspired by the work of artist Susan Seddon Boulet. I find her work deeply moving and spiritual, reflecting a marvelous connection to animal spirits. I knew that I wanted to create something in honor of my own sacred connection to the animal world, but I really didn't know how I'd begin. Then I went walking one day around a nearby lake and was followed by a group of Canada geese who were hoping that I had a secret stash of bread crumbs to share with them. They followed me around the entire lake, honking and bowing their necks, as though they were serenading me. When I got back to where I had started, the geese took off, and as they flew over me and faded into the distance, I was reminded of the many changes that were occuring in my life... and the geese represented for me the most wonderful way of moving with the seasons and navigating my own journey.
